Cheekee Hero Charity is a registered charitable organisation that empowers tamariki and whānau to build emotional wellbeing through Creativity, Connection and Community.
We believe every child has unique strengths and deserves to feel seen, heard, valued and connected. Through storytelling, creative experiences and inclusive resources, we help children build confidence, express their emotions and celebrate who they are - especially those experiencing disability, neurodiversity, illness and other life challenges.
Guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and kaupapa Māori, we create tools, programmes and community initiatives that strengthen belonging and inspire positive change across Aotearoa.
From Monster Conversations to school programmes, community art projects and Cheekee Hero Goodee Bags, everything we do is driven by one purpose: helping every child discover their strengths and know they belong.

"I was introduced to Cheekee Hero, as part of my project and placemaking work for the Orakei Local Board, supporting local community groups with their projects. Jazz and her whanau are an inspiration, not only in meeting their own challenges, but with their passion and energy to help and make a difference to other families on the same journey. It was wonderful seeing the local Community supporting Cheekee Hero, fundraising to give back to the Child Cancer Foundation, by volunteering for the National Street Appeal - it was an awesome day! It is a pleasure and a privilege to support Cheekee Hero on this and other projects as they continue to shine a light on child cancer. Glow gold!"
